Our destiny is not only God’s purpose for our life, but it is also our ordained future. It is what God has predetermined for you and me to become, but more than anything, it is our destiny is to become His adopted children. Knowing this; what we do next is paramount, because everything we do involves choices and even our decision not to choose involves a choice. For many of us, bad choice after bad choice has led us to a place we don’t even recognize or understand how we got to. Personally speaking, I can see the end result of most bad choices because I’ve been where most of you have begun. Praise God that is not the end of my story and anything the enemy meant for harm in my past, God is using to bring glory and honor to His name and kingdom right now.
His ways are so much higher than our own, so we must stop running away from the Lord because He has opened His heart to us and He has provided a way to save us. I thank God daily that I’ve been captured by His love, I’ve been captured by His grace and I’ve been covered by His blood that poured from Jesus’ face. Even though I was once lost, I am now found, because He alone holds my feet upon solid ground. He has put a new song in my mouth, one filled with joy and I praise and proclaim His holy name for the redemptive work He has done in my life. For years, I did not understand what being free was and for many of us we are missing our destiny if we are not trying to become more and more like Jesus in our daily life. I was recently listening to “True Love” and these words really hit me: When blood and water hit the ground; Walls we couldn’t move came crashing down; We were free and made alive; The day that true love died. The precious blood of Jesus is what purifies us and saves us and all we must do is call upon the name of the Lord to begin living life free.
God knew me way before the new me and even when we were all sinners; He gave His life for us. All of our past, present, and future sins were nailed to the cross when Jesus gave His life for us. This past Wednesday was a very special day for me because I had the honor of baptizing my wife. It was my first baptism and one I will never forget. God has not only done a complete restoration in my life; He has made the love that Kristen and I share resemble the love He has for us. The closer we both grow towards the Lord, the closer we grow towards each other. We will celebrate our 10 year anniversary very soon and I just have to thank the Lord for the work He is doing in us and through us. As we move into this next chapter of our destiny, we are looking forward to what God has planned for us.
So glad that you allowed God to work in your lives. You have also had a big impact in our lives… We love you guys and can’t wait to see how God will continue to use you more and more!!
