Pressed but Not Crushed: The Power of Pressure

By

Some seasons of life feel less like a journey and more like a warzone. You pray with all your heart, you fight with everything you’ve got, and you stand on God’s promises—yet the answers seem delayed. It’s in those moments that the weight feels crushing, the waiting feels endless, and the whispers of doubt grow loud.

That’s where we are right now with our home. This legal battle has stretched far longer than we ever imagined. It has drained us emotionally, spiritually, and financially. Yet even in the middle of exhaustion, a gentle but unshakable whisper rises above the noise: Greater is coming. Instead of breaking us, this battle has been drawing us closer to the Lord, teaching us to rely on His strength rather than our own.

Tomorrow, August 19th, we step into mediation against three teams of lawyers. To the natural eye, it feels like David standing before Goliath. But we’re not walking in with fear—we’re walking in with faith. We’re not just asking God for a favorable settlement. We’re asking Him for His outcome. The kind of breakthrough only He can provide. And we believe it won’t just be about reclaiming what was lost—it will be about God setting the stage for something greater than we can imagine.

Maybe you’re in a fight of your own right now. Maybe you’ve been standing, praying, believing, and yet the circumstances just keep pressing harder. Let me encourage you: the size of your battle is often a clue to the size of your breakthrough.

There Is Purpose in the Pressure

Jesus said in John 16:33, “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” Trouble doesn’t mean God has left you—it often means He’s preparing you.

Think about it: diamonds are formed under extreme pressure. Oil flows when the olive is pressed. Wine comes when the grape is crushed. Pressure precedes power. God doesn’t waste pain; He uses it to produce something rare and radiant in us.

So, if the pressure feels heavier than ever, don’t despair. It’s often a sign that breakthrough is on the horizon.

Let Go to Make Room

This legal fight has forced us to surrender things we didn’t want to—comfort, stability, even our timeline. But sometimes God allows the shaking not to destroy us, but to shift us.

Hebrews 12:27 reminds us that God shakes things so that only what cannot be shaken will remain. Letting go isn’t losing—it’s making room for something greater. Some doors close not because God has abandoned us, but because He’s clearing the path for a better one.

God’s Word Still Stands

I don’t know how tomorrow will unfold. But this I know: no legal battle, no injustice, no delay can cancel what God has spoken. Isaiah 55:11 declares that His Word will never return void—it will accomplish exactly what He sent it to do.

Think of Job: he lost everything, yet God restored double. Think of Joseph: betrayed, falsely accused, imprisoned—then suddenly elevated to second-in-command. God’s pattern is clear: He allows pain to birth purpose. If you’re in a painful place, take heart. You’re also in position for a greater promise.

Stay in Position

Galatians 6:9 encourages us, “Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Breakthrough doesn’t just come from faith—it comes from faithfulness.

Keep praying. Keep showing up. Keep trusting. When you reach the end of your strength, God steps in with His. “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9).

You’re Closer Than You Think

1 Peter 5:10 promises, “After you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace… will Himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.” Restoration isn’t just possible—it’s promised.

Friend, you are not forgotten. You are not forsaken. And you are certainly not finished. If the storm has raged, the fire has burned, and the road has been long—remember this: you are not being buried; you are being planted. And in due season, your miracle will bloom.

As we walk into mediation, we’re not shrinking back—we’re leaning in with bold expectation that God is working behind the scenes. Not just to resolve this, but to redeem it. Because greater is not just a nice phrase—it’s a heavenly reality waiting to manifest on earth.

Prayer:

Father, thank You that You are the God of breakthrough, the Restorer of what’s been lost, and the Redeemer of all things. In this battle, we choose to trust You. We lift up tomorrow’s mediation and ask for Your divine hand to move on our behalf. Let Your justice prevail. Let Your favor surround us. And let Your peace guard our hearts.

For every person walking through their own trial, remind them that pain has a purpose and that greater is coming. Strengthen their faith, steady their steps, and help them to hold on—because what You’ve promised, You will surely perform.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Thank you so much. That truly means a lot to me. Honestly, there were moments when it was not easy at all, but I kept coming back to the truth that God is faithful, even when life feels uncertain. I have had to remind myself often that my job is to trust, obey, and stay faithful, while His job is to fight battles I cannot control. Prayer, Scripture, and the support of people who kept encouraging me helped steady my heart. I did not always feel strong, but I learned that steadfastness is not about never feeling weary; it is about continuing to lean on God in the middle of it. He has been my peace, my strength, and my hope through it all.

And will continue to do so. Faith isn’t faith unless it’s the only thing left to cling to. Job discovered that.

Amen. That is such a powerful truth. When everything else is stripped away, faith becomes more than a belief; it becomes the hand that keeps holding on to God. Job’s story reminds us that even in the ashes, God is still faithful.
