Lord of My Laughter & King of My Sorrow

We must do nothing that would hinder God’s plan, but instead do everything to accomplish them! Even when our plans fail, we must trust that God has something even better for us! When God overcame the world, He deprived it of its power to harm us, so even when the world seems to be against us, we must never forget God is for us!

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6 (NASB)

If we stop working towards God’s best, we can become stagnant which can be very dangerous.

If we are in a season of blessing and don’t give God praise, we are headed for calamity and if we are in a season of despair and don’t look to God for strength, we are left with only hopelessness.

It’s not our strength versus the problems we face; it’s the omnipotent power of God which overcame the world that will make us victors in our circumstances.

As for God, His way is perfect, His word is flawless and He is a shield for those who need refuge. Every challenge we walk through is another opportunity to trust and grow closer to Him. Because of this, we should consider it pure joy when we face trials since we can do everything through Him whom gives us strength.

As humans, we want to always know why something is, but our knowledge without love can lead to destructive pride! This is why becoming more Christ-like is so important because He is love! Everything we walk through should shape us into His image. None of us can take from God what He freely gives and while some of us feel closer to God during times of blessings, others feel closer to God in times where they must rely solely on Him.

In all times, the most important thing we must do is keep God close no matter what is going on. He must always be the Lord of your laughter and the King of your sorrows. He is Emmanuel, God with us and the closer we draw to Him, the closer He will draw to us, no matter what we are walking through!
