In recent days, there have been events in people’s lives which did not go according to plan. It’s in these times; we must never lose sight of God’s sovereignty over all things including our own circumstances. When Christ remains the focal point in our life, even death, tragedy, betrayal, or pain beyond comprehension can become blessings as we walk through them.
“Stay with GOD! Take heart. Don’t quit. I’ll say it again: Stay with GOD.” Psalm 27:14 (MSG)
It’s when seeing the hand of God in disasters seems impossible that He is often doing the greatest work. I know in our thinking and rationalizing, it is hard to imagine God using something so horrific for good, but God’s word promises He will use ALL things for our good when we love Him and are called according to His purpose.
I have walked, crawled, and at times been carried through seasons and circumstances which seemed pointless and at the time I saw no purpose. I thought I was being punished, but what I didn’t know was God was equipping me to accomplish something so much bigger than anything I could have imagined.
At times, life can seem so cruel, but we must never give up on God and His plan for our life. When life kicks you in the teeth and you just want to give up; I challenge you to give your problems to God. His yoke is easy and His burden is light and when we surrender our problems to Him, His peace will overshadow us and we will begin to see His hands all around us.
When the seas are rough and you are doing what God has called you to do, get ready because a breakthrough is around the corner. If you are experiencing rough seas and God is not at the helm of your boat, you either better get a life preserver or give God control of the situation and your life. When David wrote this Psalm, He was either on the run from Saul or he was run out of town by his own son Absalom. Either way, his world was turned upside down, yet he trusted in God even though he couldn’t see a way out. That is what we must do! Don’t just let go and let God; instead, grab hold and trust God! Remember to never give up on God or your dreams and know not one tear you shed will ever be wasted.
Despite what the world tells you or what mistakes are in your past, God will wash you white as snow and He will use you to accomplish things you never thought possible because nothing is too difficult for Him and He loves you more than you can ever know!
