Life’s Puzzles

Do you have a dream you’ve almost forgotten?  Don’t, because God put that dream in your heart.  Our faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about the things we cannot see.  We are never too old and we are never too young to fulfill our destiny as long as we don’t settle for the substitute.

In my own life, God is still arranging the pieces of my puzzle together, but I can still remember a time when I felt like pieces were totally missing or in the absolute wrong place.  As a child, I can vividly recall working on puzzles and getting to the end only to discover there was a piece missing and how devastated that would make me feel.  I can also remember trying to make pieces fit that did not belong.  God is the creator of each of our puzzles and He gives us each piece in His perfect time.  He does not hold back or hide pieces from us, but He does want us to rely on Him to provide the pieces.  When Christ is in us, we are a new creation and every step of faith we take with God draws us closer to His completed masterpiece.

I thank God that He has given me the strength and conviction to complete the task for which He sent me to do.  God has had grace for every season of my life and we don’t have to worry about the future because God will not allow a situation to come without giving us the grace to make it through it victoriously.  Grace supersedes the opposition, so if you have a big problem, get ready because God’s grace is coming.  If you can make it one more day, God will have a fresh and new supply of grace when you wake up.  With every right choice we make, there will be a reward and with every assignment we receive, God will empower us with whatever we need to complete it.

Don’t get discouraged when pieces seem lost or in the wrong place because our own thoughts can defeat us and sometimes we are asked to carry a heavy cross.  I have gone through things that would have destroyed an average person, but by the grace of God, I am on the other side looking back praising God for how good He is.  God has equipped us and empowered us for whatever may come our way, so trust in Him and His everlasting promises.
