If it feels like the wind’s picking up and the waves are getting higher in your life—don’t panic. That might just be the sound of destiny calling your name.

Some people think the storm is a sign to turn back. But if you’re pressing into greatness, storms aren’t a warning—they’re a confirmation. The howling wind, the crashing waves, the resistance? That’s what it feels like to break out of the shallow end and into the deep. And only in the deep do you witness the raw, unmatched power of God at work.

Psalm 107:23 says, “Those who go down to the sea in ships, who do business on great waters—they see the works of the Lord and His wonders in the deep.” In other words, it’s not in the calm and comfort—it’s in the chaos and courage that miracles happen.

You’re not wading anymore. You’re sailing. And when you sail into the deep, you’re no longer dependent on your own strength. You’re trusting the wind of the Spirit to carry you. That’s faith. That’s surrender. That’s where transformation begins.

Opposition Is Often a Compliment in Disguise

Ordinary dreams attract ordinary resistance. But God-sized dreams? They bring out the giants.

If you’re facing unusual spiritual warfare, unexpected delays, or relentless pushback—take heart. You’re not cursed. You’re called. And the enemy doesn’t waste resources on someone who poses no threat. The stronger the resistance, the clearer the evidence that you’re advancing.

Romans 8:31 declares, “If God is for us, who can be against us?” That’s not just encouragement—it’s strategy. You don’t need everyone to understand you. You just need the One who called you to back you.

The Deep Will Separate the Faithful From the Familiar

Sometimes the people you thought would sail with you were only meant to walk with you on shore. And that’s okay.

Don’t shrink your vision to make others comfortable. Don’t trade depth for popularity or calling for comfort. You weren’t created to blend in—you were chosen to stand out. Proverbs 4:25 reminds us: “Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you.”

Even the Apostle Paul faced rejection, accusation, and abandonment, yet he never questioned God’s faithfulness. Romans 3:3-4 says, “Will their unbelief make the faithfulness of God without effect? Certainly not!” Their disbelief doesn’t delay your destiny.

Sometimes the Greatest Strength Is Silence

Remember Saul in 1 Samuel 10? He was mocked even after being anointed king. And what did he do? He stayed silent. He didn’t try to prove himself—he let God do the proving. There’s power in letting God write the headlines of your story.

Isaiah 54:17 promises, “No weapon formed against you shall prosper.” The weapon may be forged against you, the attack may be fierce—but it won’t succeed. God isn’t just watching over you—He’s fighting for you.

Your Battle Is a Gateway, Not a Wall

Before David entered the palace, he had to face Goliath. Before Joseph ruled in Egypt, he had to endure the pit and the prison. Goliaths always precede promotion. What you’re facing isn’t meant to stop you—it’s meant to reveal you.

God doesn’t waste pressure. He uses it to prepare and promote. Psalm 23:5 says, “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.” God won’t just bless you—He’ll do it in plain sight of those who doubted you.

The Lion Roars Loudest When Birth Is Near

I’ll never forget what a safari guide in Africa once told me: “Lions stalk their prey most intensely when they sense it’s about to give birth.” In the spirit, it’s no different. When your breakthrough is near, that’s when the enemy will circle the hardest.

So, if you feel overwhelmed, pressed, exhausted—it may mean you’re just moments away from birthing something beautiful.

Don’t mislabel your season. Don’t name your future based on your pain. Don’t call it Ichabod—“the glory has departed”—when in reality, glory is about to break forth. Speak life instead.

Declare it out loud:

“I am blessed. I am chosen. I am rising. I am walking into everything God has for me.”

Stay Expectant. Stay Anchored. Stay in the Deep.

Each morning, wake up with expectancy and repeat:

“Something good is going to happen today.”

That kind of faith opens the door for God to move. You are not being punished—you are being positioned. You are not forgotten—you are being forged. The deep is not a place of drowning; it’s the place of divine wonder.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for calling me to the deep. Even when the winds howl and the waves crash, I trust that You are with me. Strengthen my heart to stand firm in resistance and remain faithful when others walk away. Help me remember that every delay is divine, every battle is a setup, and every storm is preparing me for something greater. I declare that no weapon formed against me will prosper. I will not fear the deep—I will thrive in it. I will not shrink back—I will rise. Thank You that Your wonders are found in the deep. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
