There’s something powerful about the word belongs. It implies ownership. Possession. Authority. When something belongs to you, it’s not a matter of maybe—it’s a matter of already. And I want to remind you today: healing belongs to you. Not maybe. Not if you’re good enough. Not someday when everything lines up perfectly. Right now. In Christ, healing is your portion.
This isn’t wishful thinking—it’s the truth of God’s Word. Psalm 103:2–3 tells us, “Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all His benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases.” Healing isn’t a side benefit of salvation. It’s part of the full package. Forgiveness and healing flow from the same fountain of grace.
So, why do so many of us still struggle to receive it?
The answer is often wrapped in layers—layers of pain, disappointment, past trauma, and theological misunderstanding. We’ve prayed before and didn’t see the results we wanted. We’ve heard voices (maybe even our own) saying, “Maybe it’s not for me. Maybe God wants me to suffer. Maybe I just have to live with this.” But can I encourage you with something? Don’t build your theology around a moment of pain—build it on the unchanging truth of God’s Word.
When Jesus walked the earth, He never once turned away someone who came to Him for healing. Not once. In fact, “Jesus went throughout all the towns and villages… healing every disease and sickness” (Matthew 9:35). That same Jesus lives today—and His heart hasn’t changed. Hebrews 13:8 assures us, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” If He healed then, He heals now.
Healing is not just for the special few. It’s not for the super spiritual. It’s not for people who never miss a Sunday or memorize the whole book of Romans. Healing is for you.
I’ve seen it firsthand—in my life and in the lives of those I love. I’ve watched God heal what doctors couldn’t, restore what felt beyond repair, and breathe life into places that looked completely dead. I’ve walked through valleys. I’ve faced pain. I’ve endured heartbreak. But in those moments, I came to know the Healer—not just as a comforting idea, but as a constant, faithful Companion.
This morning, I stood with a family walking a road of deep uncertainty. We prayed, we wept, and we believed together. And I’m still believing—for a miracle, for breakthrough, for Yahweh to show up as the God of more than enough. Because that’s who He is.
One of the biggest shifts came for me when I stopped praying as a beggar and started praying as a son. A child of the King doesn’t come into the throne room hoping for crumbs. A child knows their Father and boldly asks for what’s already been promised. And the promise of healing is all over Scripture. “By His wounds we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5). “The prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise them up” (James 5:15).
Sometimes healing comes instantly. Sometimes it unfolds over time. Sometimes it’s physical. Other times it’s emotional, relational, or mental. But every time, God is faithful to bring healing where it’s needed. He knows what we need even more than we do—and He knows how to deliver it in the perfect way.
Maybe you’re reading this today and your body is aching. Or your heart is broken. Or your mind is battling thoughts that feel too heavy to bear. Can I speak this truth over you? Healing has your name on it. It’s part of your inheritance in Christ. Don’t settle for a life defined by what hurts—step into the life Jesus purchased for you, one of wholeness, peace, and restoration.
Speak life over yourself. Declare the promises of God even when your circumstances try to contradict them. Stand firm. Keep praying. Keep believing. And remember: you’re not fighting for healing—you’re fighting from a position of healing that already belongs to you.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for being my Healer. Thank You for the gift of healing that is mine through Jesus Christ. I choose today to believe Your Word over my feelings, my diagnosis, or my circumstances. I declare that healing belongs to me—body, soul, and spirit. I receive it by faith. Strengthen me in the waiting. Restore every broken place. Heal every wound, seen and unseen. Let my life be a testimony of Your goodness and Your power. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
